Compensation: Highly competitive




In this role, you will participate in the architecture/design of backend services in the cloud (AWS) and build and deploy those services. Your primary responsibility will focus on API services and the applications that communicate with those services. You will be part of a team of engineers that support global operations for the company including mobile applications, public web applications, desktop applications, and internal microservices. You will have the freedom to evaluate, recommend, and implement new technologies and solutions to meet the needs of the company. You don’t have all the answers, but you know where to look and how to efficiently evaluate solutions against stakeholder requirements. Working with your new IT team, we will ensure modern data privacy and security standards are incorporated into, deployed throughout, and monitored in our architecture. You will have support from your team and manager and direct input into timelines and feasibility.




Key Responsibilities:



  • Perform assigned work independently

  • Proactively reach out to team for input and guidance when needed

  • Lead and complete multiple projects within given timelines

  • Provide accurate time and effort estimates for own work

  • Identify technical problems/issues and areas for improvement

  • Research and propose technical solutions to business problems

  • Expected to participate in design and architectural discussions

  • Work with and deliver to stakeholders with oversight of senior IT staff

  • Maintain internal technical documentation for technical staff




Requirements:



  • 6+ years experience with C# and ASP.NET

  • 3+ years experience developing and deploying in AWS

  • 2+ years experience with Flutter and mobile development

  • Experience with Entity Framework ORM

  • Experience designing, building, and deploying APIs in enterprise production environments

  • Experience with React, Angular, or JavaScript

  • Experience in TypeScript (preferred) or JavaScript

  • Experience interfacing with relational/SQL-compliant databases

  • Proficiency with Git version control for code (e.g., git, GitLab, GitHub)

  • Ability to work directly with stakeholders, perform requirements gathering, and produce stakeholder/user-facing documentation

  • Ability to work and troubleshoot independently and communicate proactively

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills




Additional relevant skills:



  • Atlassian project management tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence)

  • Work in agile development environments, specifically sprint cycles

  • Experience with automated/DevOps models for development, testing, and release
