Performs repairs, testing and scheduled maintenance on a variety of both Structural and Aircraft Rescue and Fire Fighting (ARFF) firefighting apparatus and rescue equipment. Perform examples include, but are not limited to, self-contained breathing apparatus, dive equipment, hydraulic rescue tools, ventilation fans and saws, rescue saws, fire hose, ground ladders and firefighter protective clothing. Other duties as assigned.
• Develops preventative maintenance schedules for firefighting and rescue equipment.
o Air Testing / Air Compressors
o Gas Detectors
o Emergency Water Supply Pumps
o Rescue Tools
o Ventilation equipment
• Perform Testing and Certifications for the following equipment:
o Ladder
o Hose
o Nozzles testing and maintenance
o Appliances
o Structural Pump Testing
o ARFF Pump Testing
• Performs routine inspections and cleaning of protective clothing.
• Performs annual:
o SCBA (MSA) mask fit testing,
o air pack maintenance,
o SCBA bottle testing,
o SCBA (MSA mask and regulator maintenance)
• Fire Extinguishers
• Repair and maintenance to Emergency Vehicle Apparatus systems
o Pump
o Discharge
o Electronic control systems
o All non-power train systems

SUPERVISION EXERCISED:
As directed by management, may supervise employees or subcontractor personnel in accordance with the “General Supervisory Duties and Responsibilities” addendum.TYPICAL REQUIREMENTS:
This position will be 7 days a week/ 12 hrs. a day. May be assigned to day shift or night shift. Environments can be from conventional indoor workspace to project worksites with harsh, working and living conditions. To ensure compliance with safety, health and security requirements in the contract, employee will possess the ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language at the intermediate level as necessary to perform assigned job functions. Position requires the basic skills and physical ability necessary to perform assigned job functions.Prior contingency or military experience preferred.TYPICAL EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
Must have a minimum of 5-6 years’ experience as Emergency Vehicle Technician for both Structural and ARFF Apparatus and Fire Service equipment maintenance and testing.
Knowledge in NFPA 1911and NFPA 414. Must have in-depth knowledge of DoD Fire and Emergency Services Certification Program (DODI 6055.06-M) or industrial/ municipal equivalent.

CERTIFICATION/LICENSES REQUIRED:
• Must possess a standard issue civilian driver’s license
• Emergency Vehicle Technician Structural and ARFF Apparatus
• MSA Air Pack Maintenance certification (can receive after hiring)
