Regional Operations Director (Global Manufacturing exp req) Description

Our client in the sanitation industry is looking for a Regional Operations Director to join their team in Naivasha, Kenya. Reporting to the COO, you will be responsible for managing site managers across different plants and ensuring operational targets are met for treatment and production quantities, quality control, health and safety, and financial margins. The ideal candidate will have a manufacturing background with a large international company, experience leading the commissioning of new sites (greenfield or brownfield startups), and expertise in developing and implementing ERP systems. A strong financial background to understand financial reports and mitigate risks is essential. Additionally, candidates who have successfully mentored and developed internal talent are highly desired. Regional Operations Director (Global Manufacturing exp req) Responsibilities

•    Develop and implement strategies to optimize manufacturing processes
•    Ensure systems and routines are effective across all operational sites
•    Lead and inspire site leaders, fostering continuous improvement 
•    Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives 
•    Lead expansion of operational sites
•    Oversee budgets and financial reporting, own P&Ls for all sites
•    Collaborate with supply chain team to optimize inventory and efficiency
•    Promote health, safety, and compliance in all operation
•    Maintain and establish quality control measures for high-quality production
•    Analyze root causes of quality issues and implement corrective actions
•    Develop and monitor KPIs for performance tracking 
•    Maintain site data management systems
•    Integrate manufacturing with other business functions

Regional Operations Director (Global Manufacturing exp req) Qualifications

•    Bachelor's Degree required
•    8+ years of management at a manufacturing site with annual revenue of $2M+ required 
•    Manufacturing experience at a large international company required 
•    Strong financial background required 
•    Experience in ERP system development and implementation required
