Each year we process billions of dollars of payments and provide companies with solutions which help them to save money, automate processes and grow, but we’re only just getting started.

We are seeking an experienced Senior Sales Executive to join our sales team in Nairobi, Kenya. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving revenue growth through proactive business development, strategic collaboration with cross-functional teams, effective sales strategy implementation, market research, client relationship management, and optimising sales performance metrics.

In the next 12 months you will:


  • Create and implement strategies to achieve revenue targets and strengthen Verto's presence in Kenya.

  • Stay informed through comprehensive market research and competitive analysis.

  • Develop persuasive sales presentations and demos to showcase Verto's solutions.

  • Utilise strong negotiation skills to close deals and maximise sales opportunities.

  • Optimise the sales pipeline for timely progress and closure of deals.

  • Develop and expanding sales opportunities within Verto's corporate association membership network.

  • Spearhead the adoption and scaling of Verto's expense management solutions and payment links for SMBs.

  • Produce regular reports on sales activities and performance metrics.

  • Work closely with Account Managers to develop and execute account strategies.

  • Cultivate strong relationships with potential clients, serving as their primary point of contact.

  • Meticulously manage sales budgets, forecasts, and pipelines, ensuring accurate tracking and reporting.

  • Establish and scale a pipeline of referral networks, membership relevant trade associations to generate business opportunities.

Skills and Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field.

  • Minimum 3 years of B2B sales experience in banking, payments, or related industries.

  • Proven track record of achieving revenue targets and driving sales growth.

  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities, with proficiency in data interpretation.

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple tasks effectively.

  • Proficiency in CRM software (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) and sales tools.

  • Excellent presentation and pitching skills, both verbal and written.

  • Experience in the payments or banking/remittance industry preferred.
